CHARITY AUCTION SET
Avant-Garde is an annual high-themed dinner and paddle raise scholarship fundraiser in Sarasota, Florida. I was asked to assist with construction because I knew how the CNC machine worked.

I was provided the image on the right, and "a big arch and a big letter R with lightbulbs like old-style-theatres.

GRADUATION PROPS
Photo Op sign and Seating Signs

My college woodshop's CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machine quickly became one of my favorite tools.
CNC PROJECTS

In my role as Assistant Director of Volunteerism, the college create Haunted Houses on campus. Since Entertainment Design was a new class and I was a part of it, our Haunted Houses became a little more involved. Pictured here is my foam CNC'ed clown face for guests to walk through.
PROCESS

After quickly sketching a creepy clown, I vectorized my sketch, added a few other prop pieces to the available space, uploaded my OBJ file to V-Carve, proceeded to do the million other steps for CNC Milling (the air to hold the material and the dust collector, making sure the right size up-bit is in the unit, height test - quiz me!), painted it, and attached it to a built-to-stand-for-the-weekend--door-frame. It was about 16-17' tall with painted and cut plastic hanging from the mouth. It was really cool and I'm still so proud of myself.
